Our bodies run on chemical reactions
to provide energy for all our actions. The chemicals that provide
the fuel for the reactions come from FOOD. The energy for our
activity is produced in the mitochondria inside our cells.
A system of digestion is required. ACIDS
to break certain types of chemical bonds and ALKALIS for other
types.
We need to produce ACID on demand. To do this we need to have
available the correct chemicals at the right time and in the
right amounts. We also need to produce enough ALKALI to neutralise
the ACID

LIFE is a characteristic state or mode
of living during the period from birth to death.
